About The Position
Job Title : CT Technologist Job Specialty : Imaging Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 40 Hours Variable (Wed-Sun 7 : 30-4) Guaranteed Hours : 40 Experience : At least 1 year of experience preferred License : ME State License Certifications : BLS, ARRT (R) (CT) Must-Have : - Certifications in both CT and Rad Tech - Experience with CTA studies and general studies - Preferred experience with IV start skills and biopsy procedures - Familiarity with Toshiba Aquilion 64 and GE 16 slice PET CT preferred but not required Job Description : - Immediate start needed.
The position is open for travelers, including first-time ones. - Rotate shifts to cover PTO, with the possibility of overnight coverage.
Participate in the call rotation during the weekends. - May be utilized in X-ray coverage if needed. - Patient care areas include ED, outpatient, and inpatient.
Primarily adult and geriatric with some pediatric cases. - Outpatient cases can include oncology, general abdominal pain, post-surgical, and trauma.
Biopsy training provided if needed. - Expected to handle 25-30 scans per day on average. - Support on the unit includes a lead tech, two techs on weekdays and evenings, and one on weekends, with internal transport available.
Radiologist on site. - Technology / Equipment : Cerner EMR, Enterprise Imaging AGFA PACS, with specified equipment including Toshiba Aquilion 64 and GE 16 slice PET CT.
- Fixed location for CT operations, with orientation lasting 1-1.5 weeks based on experience and comfort level. - Scheduling involves weekend rotation and holiday schedule in rotation with other techs.
- Scrub color : Any solid color, as long as professional, or provided by the facility if needed.Please note that additional details on weekend rotation and scheduling specifics will be discussed during the interview process.
