Description
SAIC is seeking an Associate Modeling & Simulation Software Developer on the Horizon Program to support to the US Space Force (USSF) Program Executive Office's Space Domain Awareness & Combat Power portfolio in El Segundo, California .
Fun roles you will be a part of :
- Software development for modeling, simulation, & analysis in support of United States Space Force acquisition decision process.
- Focusing on integrating simulation tools into an automated system-level trade study execution architecture.
- Modeling satellite mission simulations using internal and commercial off the shelf packages.
Qualifications
This is you :
- Bachelor’s degree engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, aerospace, or astronautics with 1 year of related experience with :
- Satellite orbital mechanics & maneuvers, remote sensing, spacecraft launch / command / control, and / or satellite communications.
- Programming languages : Python, MATLAB, Java, or C++.
- Simulation development with MATLAB, Simulink, STK, GMAT, or FreeFlyer.
- Git (with GitLab or GitHub), SubVersion, ClearCase, or other revision control system supporting branched development.
- Managing files & directories, network file sharing, installing software & licenses, and command line shell (Windows Cmd or Bash).
- Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
Desired Qualifications :
- Prior industry experience in aerospace or space & defense.
- Systems engineering background / interest, with experience defining and executing trade studies.
- Software requirements, design, and architecture using UML or SysML.
- Experience in DOORS, Cameo, or Sparx EA.
- Experience implementing trade studies in Ansys / Phoenix ModelCenter.
- Software development, unit test, build, and release cycle using DevOps CI / CD pipelines.
- Agile process (Scrum, Kanban). Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
Target salary range : $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
