We are looking for a PD&E Project Manager for project development, management and direction of staff during PD&E activities.
The Project Development & Environmental (PD&E) Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management of projects, preparation of reports and studies, and direction of staff during the project development stage.
The ideal candidate : is highly motivated and a self-starter; has extensive knowledge of PD&E standards and environmental policy;
and is suited to supervise and execute PD&E activities for existing key clients with minimal direct supervision.
Services : Planning and PD&E studies for major clients including state DOTs, Expressway Authorities, Turnpike Enterprises, and local government clients.
Your Primary Responsibilities will include
- Lead and oversee PD&E efforts including managing projects, schedules, and budgets to ensure deliverables meet company and client expectations.
- Preparation of and / or QC review of work products for transportation projects and PD&E Studies (i.e., NEPA and SEPA supporting technical reports and overall documentation).
- Collaborate with other discipline leaders / team members and support multi-disciplinary teams in delivering successful transportation solutions.
- Participate in / lead the development and execution of stakeholder and public involvement activities associated with transportation projects.
- Lead and support business development activities related to the pursuit of PD&E studies and related transportation planning projects, including client marketing, proposal preparation and presentations
- Help build and maintain relationships with key DOT clients, targeted clients, teaming partners, and subconsultants.
- Work with senior leadership to enhance key client relationships, business development, and participation in industry organizations.
What you'll need
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Planning, Environmental Science, or related field from an accredited University (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Registration as PE, AICP, or CEP.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant transportation experience (including project management) in planning / PD&E, including rudimentary knowledge of roadway design, project-level traffic forecasts, and traffic analysis.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of federal and state procedures and requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering NEPA / State environmental documents, feasibility studies, and extensive knowledge of DOT processes (preference for FDOT experience).
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
- Valid driver’s license with approved / acceptable driving history required.
