ResponsibilitiesProvide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.* Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.* Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Exemplify professionalism : apply lifelong learning; contribute to the science of nursing; participate in governance; share knowledge to expand the scale and scope of best practices with others;

build the ethical, moral and regulatory base for best practices and processes of patient and unit care.RequirementsLicensure / Certification / Registration : * BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.* Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.

Education : * Diploma from an accredited school / college of nursing required OR a bachelors level degree not in nursing, an active RN License, and enrolled in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing Program with a minimum of 1 year in the program completed.
