As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

General Responsibilities : Work with data / process / data owners and consumers owners to understand desired application capabilities and be able to explain limitations in non-technical termsContinuously improve legacy file storage process, governance, audit, legal & retention practices and standardsWork within and across lines of business teams to intake, provision, and deploy storage solutions for highly sensitive dataLead the availability, resilience and scalability of the platformEncourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity to a legacy processDevelop, utilize, and utilize best practices to to enhance the overall user experience of the platformUtilize scripting languages like HTML, Python, SQL, Robo-copy Container Orchestration services including Docker and ECS, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and servicesBasic Qualifications : High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificationAt least 4 years of experience with Microsoft office or G-suiteAt least 2 years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Preferred Qualifications : 5+ years of experience with Microsoft 3653+ years of experience with AWS2+ years of experience in Agile practicesAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
