Sr. IT Support Specialist

IT Support Specialist that will provide expertise concerning IT Systems in support of Ambris organization.
Position Overview
Ambri is seeking a hands-on and energetic Sr. Support Specialist to join our growing team. Candidates must have at least five years of experience in an IT Support or Systems Administration role and be capable of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
The Sr. IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 level support to end users, including but not limited to providing support for break / fix issues, enterprise application installations and troubleshooting for all in office and remote users.
This role will also be involved in product implementation, management and oversight of the client PC imaging and client software deployment processes.
This position requires effective communication skills and a strong customer orientation to provide the frictionless, white glove service that is consistent with Ambris high standards of service excellence.
Responsibilities :
- Provide on-site IT support, including laboratory systems, conference rooms, printers, end-user set up, and hardware.
- Maintain the servers, ensuring seamless, regular backups of all data.
- Manage and Maintain Solidworks Server / Users.
- Manage employee onboarding and training with regard internal IT systems.
- Work collaboratively with all functions within the company as well as our MSP.
- Hardware procurement and set up for all new hires.
- Manage Microsoft Office (including Outlook).
- Create and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
- Author and review standard operating procedures for IT systems.
- Train end users on best practices, SOPs, and software usage
- Perform both hands on and remote troubleshooting.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement IT solutions that support functional and corporate initiatives.
- Provide recommendations regarding a strategic roadmap for IT systems, coordinating closely with Accounting and Human Resources.
- Oversee the management of the inventory of the companys equipment including computers, monitors, printers, phones, and other peripherals
- Manage the phone systems (8x8)
- Build strong relationships with technical vendors
Requirements :
- 5 + years experience in an IT support role
- Experience with Windows Server, Windows 10, Mac OS X, Office 365.
- Strong background with software, hardware, and server maintenance / management
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong time management skills including the ability to multi-task on various projects and priorities under fixed schedules and in pressure situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate in non-technical terms to non-technical people.
- Willingness to be on call for staff on weekends
- Knowledge of engineering applications (Solidworks, AutoCAD Map, SQL Server, etc.) a plus
- Videoconferencing technology support experience, particularly Zoom, preferred.
- Experience with ISO 27000 a plus.
Education Level :
Minimum associate degree in a related field,
