HomeBase Special Needs Services is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Care Workers specializing in Respite services.
HomeBases' mission is to serve as a bridge between our members and the world surrounding them. We aim to enable the members, one step at a time, to grow and function more fully as beneficial members of society, thus creating a more valuable community for us all.
With more than 15 years of experience in the special needs community, we have seen the importance of quality care. We started this agency in 2016 with one goal in mind;
to provide the highest level of care to as many (dis)abled people as possible! We love what we do!
Position Overview :
As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing temporary relief and support to individuals with special needs.
Your efforts will allow primary caregivers to take a break and recharge, knowing their loved ones are in capable and caring hands.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to individuals with special needs.
- Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Engage in meaningful activities and support individuals' emotional and social well-being.
- Follow care plans and communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and the team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
Qualifications :
- A genuine passion for helping others and making a positive impact.
- Previous experience in caregiving, direct care, or related roles is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
