Job Title : NG911 - IT Security Analyst
Location : Hybrid (3 weeks remote / 1 week in Brooklyn, NY)
Duration : 12+ months
Scope of Services :
The IT Security Analyst will be responsible for the following :
- Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements.
- Analyze appropriate security assurance levels.
- Evaluate security policies and assess next-generation threats.
- Analyze potential impacts of new threats and exploits; develop and implement expert firewall solutions to mitigate those threats.
- Assess risks to critical applications and recommend appropriate security controls.
- Communicate risks to relevant business units.
Mandatory Skills / Experience :
Note : Candidates lacking mandatory skills will not be considered)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a technical and / or business application, product, platform, or methodology.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity trends, security methodologies, and the OSI model; knowledge of TCP / IP stack.
- Experience designing secure networks, systems, and applications with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
- Proven experience in planning, researching, and developing security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Proficiency in working with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Desirable Skills / Experience :
- Cybersecurity experience in a PSAC / PSAP environment, particularly with NG911 systems.
- One or more relevant information security and / or networking certifications such as CISSP, Security+, Network+, CCNA, or PCNSE.
- Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications.
