Production Operator (Roll Dough) -1st Shift - 6:00am - 2:30pm - $21.22/hr*+

This is a key position within our manufacturing facility which produces quality food products for our customers.

• Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6PM-6AM.
• Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Assemble and / or move materials around as needed to complete the main function (i.e., inspecting, pre-weigh, blending, mixing, packing, etc.)
• Operate equipment as necessary to accomplish tasks and meet targets.
• Input and track production, safety, and quality data in Production Reporting System (Redzone).
• Detailed cleaning and sanitation of plant equipment.
• Load and unload product from the production line.
• Ensuring daily adherence to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) Regulations
• Inspection of packaged finished goods and ingredients.
• Ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the food safety and food quality system.
• Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality issues from occurring.
• Evaluating hazards, verification of measures and procedures that should be taken to achieve a safe work environment
• Works in a safe manner and promptly reports hazards identified in the work environment.
• Work involves the use of equipment controls, flour system, and blender recipe system.
• All other duties assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements :

Education / Certifications and Experience :

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of related experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Mathematical Skills : Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Ability to compute whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability : Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carryout instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort :

Work involves daily and frequent exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness and / or poor lighting, noise and vibration.

Seasonal exposure to weather elements to include, but not limited to, extreme temperatures, wetness and humidity.

• Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks and hazards, such as working around mechanical equipment, mechanical hazards, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire and explosives hazards, communicable diseases.
• Position requires the ability to stand; walking around office, warehouse and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds;
• utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling and twisting on a daily basis. Also requires the ability to see;

hear; and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.

Bump caps, safety glasses, goggles, gloves, ear plugs, lockout devices, fall protection and any other personal protective equipment, as defined by C.

H. Guenther and Son will be provided.

Work involves frequent exposure to time pressures, frequent change of tasks, performing multiple tasks simultaneously, tedious and exacting work, irregular work schedule and / or overtime, noisy and / or distracting environment, working closely with others as part of a team, and on rare occasion’s emergency situations.
