LAYOUT TECHNICIAN
Primary Purpose of the Position
The primary purpose of this position is to verify the quality and dimensions of parts produced at Steward Machine Company using Faro Arm and Creaform 3D scanning technology.
The Layout Technician will verify that product meets design and quality specification using innovative, modern scanning technology.
The Layout Technician will provide critical data for incoming material, small parts, machined components as well as large scale fabrications.
Role / Department / Location Specific Requirements
The layout technician will be based out of Plant 1 (Birmingham) but some travel to Plant 2 (Birmingham) and Plant 3 (Birmingham) will be expected based on business needs
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with Faro Arm and / or 3D scanning technology
- CAM2, Polyworks or comparable software experience is required
- Layout experience in machining and or fabrication industry a plus
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time management
- Proficiency reading and understanding drawings and specifications
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
