Position Summary :
Provides practical nursing care to patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and PNHS policy.
Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights.
Education / Experience :
Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing. One or more years of nursing experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
Special Knowledge / Skills / Certifications / Licenses :
Must maintain a current license of practical nursing.
BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
IV skills when trained and EKG skills. Safely and effectively operates the following : Various Health Testing Equipment (i.
e. vision, hearing, blood pressure, etc.), Personal Computer, Printer, FAX Machine, Photocopier, and Telephone. Cardiac Monitor, EKG Machine and Accucheck Machine.
All code cart emergency equipment.

BLS required. (ACLS preferred)
Clinic Hours of Operation : Monday-Friday 8 : 00am-8 : 00pm, Saturdays & Sundays 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm, One Holiday per year 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm.
You may on occasion be asked to work at a different site
Education / Experience :
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) : Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing. Must maintain a current state license of practical nursing.
One or more years of nursing experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
Medical Assistant (MA) : Graduate from a Medical Assisting Program accredited by "The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
One or more years of experience desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) : High school diploma or GED and current BLS Certification for Health Professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained.
On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.
- Must meet one of the following :
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program or currently registered as a pharmacy technician with one or more years pharmacy technician experience OR
- Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current EMT license.
