We are a Minnesota based family-owned business with our main location in Inver Grove Heights. As we continue to grow, we currently have an opening for a Diesel Truck Technician for our Truck Shop.

We are looking for someone detail oriented, mechanically inclined, with a strong work ethic. These positions handle the complete repair and maintenance of heavy-duty trucks.

SCHEDULE :

2nd shift, Monday- Friday, 3pm- 12am

PAY RANGE :

$25- $40+ / hr (open to discussion- based on skillset and experience)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

• Performs routine servicing and repairing of diesel trucks or trailers, depending on the shop.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, disassemble vehicles and examine parts for defects and excessive wear.
• Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics;

completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.

• Perform repair and customization work as assigned including routine maintenance, brake replacement / repair, suspension repair, electrical and pneumatic and hydraulic component troubleshooting and repair, trailer body repair including complete trailer rebuild.
• Provide after-sale services, such as component installation
• Inspect the overall condition of Truck and Trailer to ensure that they meet U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements.
• Compile inspection reports detailing their findings
• Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
• Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
• Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers
• Willing to train

Requirements :

• Mechanical aptitude (prior experience as a technician is a plus, but we will train!)
• Welding experience a plus for trailer technicians
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently

• Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient and friendly work environment
