Respiratory Therapist - Akron City Campus

Full-time / 32 hours per week / 3rd shift

Eligible for up to a $10,000 hire on incentive

Summary :

Administers a variety of Respiratory Therapy modalities and interventions to patients according to physician order and / or hospital approved policies and protocols based on evidenced based research, guidelines, and algorithms.

Formal Education Required :

a. Graduate of an A.M.A. or CoARC approved program for Respiratory Therapists (Registry eligible).

Experience and Training Required :

a. Valid Ohio license (RCP) to practice Respiratory Care, granted by the State Medical Board of Ohio.

b. Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or

Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) & obtain RRT within 120 days of employment (start date).

Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications :

a. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

b. Population Specific Competency : Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients / customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

Level of Physical Demands :

a. Heavy : Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and / or 10 to 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects.

$30.01 / hr - $36.01 / hr

The salary range on this job posting / advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
