Responsibilities

State Farm's Innovation Group is looking to for passionate students to join our Summer Internship Program! As a Software Engineer Intern you will be a part of a team, that will grow your knowledge in a variety of emerging technologies (e.

g., Data, AI / ML, loT, Cybersecurity, etc.). As well as participate in complex work assignments and contribute to deliverables or strategic assignments.

Qualifications

We Are Looking For The Following :

• Current Freshman, Sophomore, or Juniors majoring in Business, Marketing, Entrepreneurship or Communications with a focus in technology.
• Minimum GPA 3.2 / 4.0 Preferred
• Languages : Python, Javascript, Terraform, C++, Nodejs, Java, and AWS
• Strong learning agility and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong sense of suriosity about technology, markets, and innovation as a whole
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Interest in Emerging Technology, Machine Learning, and Data Science
• A can-do attitude, and someone who loves to have fun!
• The ability to work in an environment that emphasizes information sharing, collaboration, teamwork, mutual respect, and integrity.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Corporate Venture Capital (CVC), startups or entrepreneurship is a plus
• Have working knowledge of Cloud Solutions (AWS, Azure, Google), GIT, Client Computinf and Networking, Web page development (HTML, Javascript, Vue.js)
• AI / ML experience, Generative AI experience, Computer Vision, CloudFormation

Internship Program Eligibility :

• Students who apply MUST be returning to school for at least one semester following the summer internship.
• Selected interns must reside within the continental U.S. for the duration of the summer internship.

Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.

S. work authorization (e.g. H-1B visa) for this opportunity

What You Can Expect :

• The internship will occur between May 19, 2025 - August 1, 2025
• We will host in-person onboarding in Bloomington, IL
• Hours : Monday-Friday, 38.75 hours per week
• Due to the short duration of the summer program, it is an expectation that hired interns will be available for the duration of the summer internship with little to no disruption in work schedule.
• Pay : $28.00 / hour. In addition, interns selected for our summer internship program will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend!
• Work Arrangement :
• Remote : Qualified candidates (outside of locations listed below) may be considered for 100% remote work arrangements based on where a candidate currently resides or is currently located.

Remote interns could be asked to travel to an assigned location throughout the summer for onboarding and various events.

HUB LOCATIONS : Dunwoody , GA; Richardson, TX; Tempe, AZ; or Bloomington, IL
