About The Position
Job Title : Pharmacist Job Specialty : Pharmacy - Central Fill Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : More than 2 years of experience License : Current pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania Certifications : Required hospital, government, and professional certifications Must-Have : Benefits Investigation background Job Description : Process, prepare, and dispense prescriptions through the pharmacy system.
- Adjudicate claims to third-party insurance plans.- Accurately document and retain records for the filling of medication orders.
- Select the proper drug, dosage form, strength, and quantity.- Monitor patient profiles and perform drug utilization reviews for medication appropriateness, duplicate therapy, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Stationed throughout the pharmacy at drop-off / pick-up windows, phone stations, and filling / checking counters.- Provide timely and appropriate communication to patients, prescribers, pharmacists, nurses, and pharmacy support staff.
- Ensure proper customer service, patient / employee safety, and meet operational / schedule needs.- Administer injectables / vaccines when applicable.
- Maintain appropriate security of the pharmacy while on duty.- Manage the pharmacy in the absence of the pharmacy manager.
- Perform proficiency in all pharmacy computer systems, automated dispensing software, systems, and technical equipment required to perform duties.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of hospital personnel and perform basic office environment tasks.- Maintain a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Internet.
