Assistant Director of Nursing / Nurse Educator - Nursing Home
Located on Staten Island, NY
Currently seeking a compassionate and professional Assistant Director of Nursing / Nurse Educator to help manage the nursing department of a privately owned facility located on Staten Island, NY.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing / Nurse Educator :
- Lead, direct and monitor the delivery of health care and related health and medical services.
- Provide direct supervision to nurses.
- Plan, develop and implement procedures and policies that enhance the quality of life for people receiving services.
- Provide leadership to assure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and nursing practice standards.
- Develop and implement nursing department budgets in coordination with our management team.
- Provide effective nurse management that assures utilization of personnel to best meet the needs of the people receiving support and services.
- Develop and implement health care related training that assures the best possible delivery of health related support and services.
- Ensure that patient care plans contain accurate documentation and are amended as needed.
Requirements of the Assistant Director of Nursing / Nurse Educator :
- Must have NY RN license
- Must have prior experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing facility
- Must have nurse education background
- Must have long term care experience
- Strong leadership / managerial skills
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
