Leads and manages departmental staff, fiscal and material resources. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.

Education and Work Experience :
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education / related experience : Required
- Master's Degree : Preferred
- Five years' technical experience : Preferred
- One year's leadership experience : Preferred
Licenses / Certifications :
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice : Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association certification : Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA certification : Required
Essential Functions :
Manages staff, fiscal, and material resources in alignment with overall lab goals and standards. Represents the catheterization lab at meetings, prepares budgetary reports and develops required policies, procedures and protocols.
Documents monthly statistical summaries and variances and serves as a liaison between the lab, other departments, hospitals, physicians and related offices.
Collaborates with nurses, senior technologists and educators to ensure staff competencies, evaluations and actions are documented and completed on time.
Oversees daily lab functions, verifies appropriate minimum staffing and department goals are achieved (as outlined in departmental scope to service and practice and strategic business plans) and updates annually.
Ensures accountability between departments.
- Analyzes critical and outcome data to design and implement improvement strategies.
- Exercises independent judgment when recruiting, training, coaching, supervising and responsibly directing assigned staff.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
