Job Description :

At Regions, the Systems Administrator installs, configures, and maintains operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

• Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
• Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established Information Technology (IT) policies and procedures
• Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels
• Monitors system software licensing and maintenance agreements
• Ensures workstation / server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions
• Ensures data / media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations
• Supports media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services
• Develops and promotes standard operating procedures
• Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
• Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database / library of all supporting documentation
• Some scripting (i.e. PowerShell and Bash)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or technical training program with four (4) years of related experience
• Or, a High School Diploma or GED with eight (8) years of related experience

This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to a Branch, Consumer Operations, or Professional Office Building with the primary location being for Birmingham, AL, Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC .

Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. Exceptions to the geographic location requirement may be made for current Regions associates who work remotely.

• Perform changes for IWS Mainframe and Distributed Job scheduling, maintenance, and enhancements.
• Complete updates to IWS / DWC servers including software updates, vulnerabilities, and certificates.
• Testing and Validation of IWS / DWC server patching.
• Report set up and maintenance through CAView (online report viewing).
• Production GDG maintenance
• Disaster Recovery setup and test participation for IWS.
• Review work submitted by Application Development through the approved Change Management tool to make sure all approvals have been received before changes are approved and set up for production systems.
• Follow change management guidelines to implement changes.
• Quickly and correct handle tickets in queue.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include : experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role.

As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
