Content Management Consultant
An editorial position with responsibility for supporting a Wolters Kluwer product line, which consists of publications that contain federal and state laws, regulations, cases, and agency materials, as well as news and analysis written by our editorial staff.
The position is a role with responsibility across the product line, working closely with the managing editor to implement the team’s overall strategy.
- Responsibilities include creating stories on new developments and hot topics, trend analyses and other original commentary;
- assisting new product development; responding to customer and media inquiries; helping with product demos and sales presentations;
and participating in organizational initiatives, as needed.Prepare explanations, trend analyses and other high-value commentaryWrite news articles and summaries explaining regulatory, judicial, legislative, and industry developmentsTrack regulations and other developments at the federal and state agenciesParticipate on special projects and in new product development, as neededUnderstand market and customer workflows, applying this understanding to enhance our products / servicesRespond to customer and sales inquiries regarding product contentCollaborate with product managers, technology development, and UX / UI teams in building new products and enhancements to existing productsHelp trainers and sales reps with customer presentations, product demonstrationsOther DutiesVarious other tasks, functions, and special projects, as needed.
These may include the following : Help to create practical, how to content such as checklists and sample formsParticipate in efforts to improve taxonomy, search tuning, thesaurus, filtering, linking, and other research platform functionalityParticipate in efforts to improve workflows for efficiency, suggest product ideasAssist with social media outreach (blogs, LinkedIn, Twitter) and webinarsTroubleshooting issues (taking initiative)Respond to media inquiriesAssist in developing marketing materialsJob QualificationsLaw degree with 8+ years of practice or research experience OR Master’s degree with 8+ years of practice or research experience (preferably in labor & employment and / or human resources) OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 10+ years of related practical or writing experienceRelated practical experience a plus, but not required.
