VHB is seeking a Land Development Senior Project Manager to join our Land Development (Civil Engineering) team based in Tampa or Sarasota, FL.

Responsibilities

Work with a production team to develop site / civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of projects, including large and medium-scale projects

Support preparation of various land development design and permitting documents

Responsible for project financial performance and client relations

Prepare and review drawings and specifications documenting the designs

Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design / permitting issues with them

Supervise design team activities during Construction Administration

Manage work and development of junior-level staff

Manage small, medium, or large projects

Develop new project opportunities and manage proposal submissions

Skills and Attributes

Highly Proficient in the following :

AutoCAD Civil 3D

Microsoft Project

MS Office Suite

Skills to implement our integrated services approach

Comprehensive understanding of design, details, and construction drawing preparation including site layout, grading, drainage, and utilities

Knowledge of Florida land development construction including codes and development regulations

Knowledge of construction materials and detailing

Experience with green initiative programs and low-impact design (LEED, Envision)

Excellent innovative design skills

Project research and analysis

Strong, creative engineering skills and ability to adhere to office standards

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Self-motivated, ability to think critically

Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task

Excels at working in a team environment

Exhibits strong leadership skills and growth potential

Has interest in growing business development skills

Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering or related degree

15+ years of increasing engineering experience on complex projects

PE licensure in Florida or able to obtain within 12 months

Proficient in site layout, grading, utility, and stormwater management design

Experience in developing and compiling / producing site plans, construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports
