Job Summary :

  • We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering and maintenance operations within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This individual will oversee capital projects, equipment installations, and process improvements while managing and developing a high-performing engineering team. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem solving, who thrives on driving safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Job Duties :

Provide leadership and direction to the engineering and maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations.

Oversee all aspects of capital projects—from planning and budgeting to execution and completion—ensuring timelines and budgets are met.

Manage equipment installations, modifications, and maintenance to optimize production efficiency and reduce downtime.

Develop and mentor staff to strengthen technical capabilities, performance, and engagement across the department.

Implement and maintain work systems, procedures, and KPIs to drive continuous improvement and support business objectives.

Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, R&D, Quality, and Safety) to ensure alignment on priorities and effective project execution.

Maintain compliance with all food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Stay current on emerging technologies, equipment, and methods to enhance plant capabilities and performance.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.

Minimum 5 years of engineering leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment (confectionery or snack industry preferred).

Broad technical knowledge including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, process air, packaging systems, and controls.

Demonstrated success managing multiple projects, budgets, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

Flexible work hours with ability to evaluate off-shift operations as needed.
