About the Opportunity :
The South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT).
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our nation's veterans. Responsibilities :
- Manage a panel of assigned veterans, providing comprehensive primary care services.
- Deliver preventative care, including health screenings, immunizations, and counseling.
- Accurately diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, including managing complex health conditions.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and pharmacists, to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and self-management strategies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall excellence of the PACT.
Qualifications :
MD or DO degree : Graduation from an accredited medical school is required.
Board Certification or Eligibility : Certification by the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Board of Internal Medicine is required or eligibility for certification must be demonstrated.
State Medical License : Must possess a valid, unencumbered medical license in the state of Texas.
Clinical Expertise : Strong clinical skills and a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality primary care services.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills : Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective patient interaction and building strong patient relationships.
Teamwork Proficiency : Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Compensation & Benefits :
Salary : $230,000 - $250,000 per year, based on experience and market factors.
