What Will You Be Doing?
- Manage tax reporting and compliance across domestic and international operations.
- Coordinate with external auditors to finalize audits and reviews.
- Develop and enforce tax accounting policies and procedures.
- Provide strategic tax planning for business expansions and acquisitions.
- Ensure adherence to US GAAP and relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Direct and mentor tax personnel, including training and development.
- Research and communicate impacts of new tax legislation to management.
Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise for the job :
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a combination of education and work experience in a related field required.
- Master's degree in Taxation or MBA preferred.
- CPA preferred.
- 12-18 years of tax experience in gaming, banking, or financial services industry preferably in Big Four or large regional accounting firm.
- 5-10 years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrates exemplary leadership ability, sound judgment, equitable decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with sales tax returns in multi-jurisdictions and exposure to international tax issues, including foreign tax credit planning, subpart F income (passive income / interest / dividends) earnings and profits repatriation strategies (cash box to US withhold tax), international M&A activity, and cross border financing strategies.
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, IRS (Circular 230) and compliance issues as presented by the IRS, FASB, SEC, EITF and AICPA.
- Advanced knowledge of tax accounting principles and practices.
- Strong background in all aspects of federal, state, local and international taxation; knowledge in international taxation.

The compensation for this role considers a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training;
licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location at which the position may ultimately be filled.
At Everi, it is not typical for all individuals to be hired at or near the end of the range; compensation decisions depend on each case's facts and circumstances.
A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $224,000 - $270,000 annually.
