Job Position : Maintenance / Electricity

Location : ARLINGTON, TX 76010

Pay Rate : $27.00- 30.00 / hr

Shift : First Shift

Mon-Fri 6am-2 : 30pm OT

Description :

The Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing warehouse is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and systems critical to the production and operational processes. This includes production machinery, material handling equipment, HVAC, electrical systems, and the physical structure of the warehouse. The role ensures minimal downtime and operational efficiency through preventative maintenance, timely repairs, and equipment optimization.

Key Responsibilities :

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair warehouse equipment such as conveyors, forklifts, pallet jacks, production lines, and packaging machinery.

Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs on warehouse equipment.

Replace or repair defective parts, motors, gearboxes, and drive components.

Conduct routine inspections of machines and systems to identify wear and tear and potential future issues.

Repair or replace damaged building components, including doors, lighting, and plumbing systems.

Maintain the structural integrity and safety of the warehouse, including floor and ceiling repair, dock doors, and loading equipment.

Perform general upkeep and cleaning as necessary to ensure a safe work environment.

Conduct safety checks on equipment and ensure compliance with warehouse safety protocols.

Participate in safety audits and contribute to improving safety procedures within the warehouse.

Respond promptly to breakdowns or mechanical failures that affect production.

Troubleshoot and resolve urgent issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.

Service and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and alarm systems specific to a warehouse environment.

Work closely with the production team to understand equipment and operational needs.

Monitor and order parts as necessary to avoid production downtime due to shortages.

Skills and Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in industrial maintenance preferred.

2+ years of experience in warehouse or industrial maintenance roles.

Proficiency in working with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems; experience with conveyor belts, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.

Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, including OSHA regulations.

Certifications such as forklift certification, HVAC, welding, or electrical are a plus.

Must be able to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and work in varying conditions (hot, cold, noisy environments).

Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
