Position Overview : Are you committed to guiding the educational journey of students with disabilities? Join our esteemed team as a Full-Time Special Education Teacher!In this role, you'll provide personalized instruction, assistance, and advocacy to empower students with disabilities, nurturing their academic and personal development within an inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with parents / guardians, support staff, and related service providers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Adapt curriculum materials to meet the unique needs and abilities of students with disabilities, ensuring accessibility and enhancing learning effectiveness.
- Employ a variety of instructional strategies, accommodations, and assistive technologies to promote student engagement and achievement.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification or licensure for Special Education in Massachusetts
- Early Childhood certification and any other certifications required for Special Education Teachers in Massachusetts
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably within an educational environment.
- Thorough understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices, including individualized instruction, behavior management techniques, and evidence-based interventions.
