Position Summary :
The Program Manager I provide engaging and inclusive leadership and is responsible for developing, planning and implementing program enhancements as well as ensuring compliance with KVC policies, local licensing bodies and accreditation programs
Education :
High School diploma is required, bachelor’s degree in psychology, Sociology, Social Work / Services, Human Services, Education, Criminal Justice, Criminology or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Location :
Olathe, Kansas
Licensure / Certification :
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- At least 21 years old
Experience :
- Two or more years in a management role or four or more years in direct care experience in a residential and / or psychiatric hospital environment or a combination of the management and direct care experience that equals four or more years.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Outlook email.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide inclusive leadership and respect all employees and stakeholders.
- Participate in treatment planning and ensure implementation.
- Ensure client care integrity and meet essential needs.
- Coordinate with leadership for resource planning.
- Ensure adequate staffing through recruitment and onboarding.
- Assess and adjust resources for program stability and effectiveness.
- Maintain proficiency in KVC systems and curricula.
- Analyze staffing dynamics and address challenges proactively.
- Oversee documentation audits and compliance strategies.
- Enforce staff handbook and policy adherence.
- Manage direct care staff, including scheduling, evaluations, and discipline.
- Ensure mandatory reporting and follow worker’s compensation protocols.
- Ensure necessary materials and supplies for quality care.
- Lead program meetings and develop enhancements for client engagement.
- Ensure compliance with KVC policies and external standards.
