Position Summary
As Director of Systems and IT, you will support Murray’s Cheese in driving IT strategy, digital transformation, security, and maintenance to support processes and systems across the company.
This position supports E-commerce, Omnichannel, Retail Store operations, Inventory management, and warehouse operations, among other primary business units.
In addition, daily technical support, such as office, store network, desktop support, and infrastructure services end-to-end, is to be provided.

What You Do
- IT Best Practices
- Ensure high-quality service by creating and enforcing organizational standards.
- Develop a system for maintaining corporate hardware and software.
- Improve and maintain communication protocols across the company.
- Set up a process for updating and backing up the ERP system.
- Provide information technology recommendations, policies, and procedures by assessing organizational outcomes, identifying issues, and predicting organizational needs.
- Cloud / Data Strategy and Transformation
- Ensure the organization remains effective and efficient by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans.
- Provide recommendations for information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes, identifying problems, and anticipating organizational requirements.
- Conduct research in emerging technology by studying organizational goals, strategies, practices, projects, and issues.
- Assess our current software and make recommendations for replacements or additional value-added features.
- Operations and Support
- Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to all corporate hardware and software promptly.
- Direct, lead, and mentor IT team members to help them grow their knowledge and project management abilities.
- Take part in all hardware and software evaluations and manage IT vendor contracts and relationships.
- Analyze business needs presented by department heads and suggest technical solutions and project plans.
- Verify application results by conducting system audits of implemented technologies.
- Establish and maintain company-wide security protocols.
- Continue to implement tools to secure the networks and servers
- Organization and management of IT budget
What We Need from You
- Bachelor’s degree (degree in information systems, computer engineering, or computer science is preferred!) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years’ experience in retail and / or restaurant POS software, warehouse management software, or e-commerce
- 5 + years of experience managing a team of reports
- Experience managing an ERP system, preferably NetSuite
- Experience working with and managing outside vendors (MSP)
- Experience or familiarity with Spree, Boomi, or other similar systems
- Knowledge of system fundamentals (system structure, programming, database fundamentals)
- Knowledge of Windows (applications and network configuration)
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends in digital technology
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize
- Empathetic listening skills and the ability to understand business and other context relevant to shaping our path forward
- Top-notch written and verbal communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to all levels within the organization
