The call is shared equally amongst all surgical techs in the department. There is a 30 minute response time to call. Meaning that the moment they are called in for a case, they have 30 minutes to be at the facility, clocked in, changed, and ready to start their case.

It is ok if they do not live within a 30 minute radius of the facility; however, they are obligated to be at the facility within 30 minutes if they are on call.

Job Summary and QualificationsWe are seeking a Surgical Technician to assist the multi-disciplinary health care team in clinical support functions and promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.

The Surgical Technician will work in collaboration under the direction of the RN and Surgeon during surgical procedures.

What will you do in this role? Perform scrub duties for various surgical procedures Demonstrates knowledge and application of sterile technique, instruments and supplies needed for surgical cases Communicates and participates in patient care activities in direct conjunction with the RN What qualifications will you need?

Would Strongly Prefer candidates that have 2 years of CST experience. Preference is acute care experience (1 year) would consider someone that does not have acute care experience.

Additional Information : Surgical Techs with experience will be given an 8-week orientation.Description for Job sponges, rags, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures.

Ensure proper operation of equipment, such as lights and suction machines. Assist the surgical team with scrubbing in and putting on gloves and masks.

Wash and sterilize all medical instruments and equipment following surgeries. Clean, organize and restock the operating room after surgical procedures.
