NYC Salary Range - $75,840 - $85,000 annually; compensation is commensurate to geographic location.

Understand business needs, design learning content, and foster engagement for UNFCU’s global workforce in support of the member experience.

Focus on creating measurable learning outcomes that address needs related to raising understanding and changing behaviors in support of UNFCU’s corporate strategy.

Responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining learning materials in a variety of media.

What you'll do

  • Regardless of seniority or role, uphold UNFCU’s mission, core values, and guiding principles by providing an exceptional service experience to colleagues and members alike through consistent demonstration of our service excellence behaviors
  • Identify learning objectives, performance gaps and performance outcomes by working collaboratively with program owners and subject matter experts
  • Manage learning project lifecycle from intake, research, design, and launch to ensure timely completion
  • Develop and maintain learning materials (user guides, scripts, storyboards, etc.) to support business objectives
  • Partner with the Corporate Learning team to ensure courseware is optimally designed for UNFCU’s LMS (learning management system) and corporate culture
  • Engage all levels of the organization by facilitating on-site and virtual instructor-led training on a range of soft and technical skills, as well as service excellence education
  • Manage and deliver new hire orientation and provide backup for other training sessions as needed
  • Design and apply assessment tools and evaluations to analyze and measure training effectiveness and provide recommendations for further enhancement
  • Provide classroom set up and support for both in-person and virtual learning sessions
  • Provide support and recommendations regarding training requests
  • Provide basic administrative back up support for LMS tasks
  • Keep current on learning industry best practices; build and maintain institutional knowledge
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and UNFCU’s Code of Ethics & Business Conduct

What we're seeking

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-4 years of instructional design experience, including needs assessment and storyboarding
  • 2-4 years of facilitation, training, and / or teaching experience
  • Experience working in a corporate environment preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of adult learning theory and practice
  • Ability to design and evaluate diverse learning programs
  • LMS experience required; Saba LMS experience preferred
  • eLearning authoring tools experience; Articulate 360 a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
  • Strong writing and public speaking skills
  • Ability to manage relationships at all levels throughout the organization
  • Ability to multi-task in an evolving environment
  • Work assignments require the use of independent judgment and interpretation
  • Detail-oriented and proficient in follow-up
