As a Per Diem CT Technologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to work 8-hour weekday and weekend day shifts on a rotating basis.
The CT Technologist, under direct supervision, uses Siemens computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patients internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.
Summary of Essential Duties :
- Accurately interpret a physicians scanning instructions
- Administer contrast material
- Prepare and operate CT scan equipment
- Ability to position patient to capture appropriate images
- Send images to Radiologist for interpretation / reading
- Cleans and disinfects patient rooms
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines
Qualifications
Education :
Graduate of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology program required
License / Certifications :
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiologist certification (ARRT-R) required
- California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred or willing to obtain within one year from start date
- Venipuncture certification required
Experience :
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist preferred
- At least 6 months of experience with Siemens brand scanners preferred
