Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist

BASIC FUNCTIONS :

The accounts payable – accounts receivables specialist (AP / AR) is responsible for the payment of goods and services purchased by the organization as well as managing and tracking money owed to the company by its customers. This includes but is not limited to collecting payments, reconciling accounts and resolving billing issues. In addition to AP / AR functions, this role may assume administrative office duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval for posting and payment
• Prints and obtain signatures on all account payable checks
• Distributes signed checks as required
• Accounts Receivable collections
• Performs filing and coping
• Scan processed checks
• New vendor setup, including 1099 documentation and processing
• Obtain credit reference information when requested
• Process credit card payments for customers and vendors
• Create month end expense purchase report
• Assists in monthly closings
