As a Registered Radiology Technologist, you will perform radiology exams and procedures on patients of all ages. Your primary duties will include : - Performing general radiology, portable, and fluoroscopic procedures.

• Assisting with scheduling patient procedures. - Educating patients regarding the procedures, equipment, and examination to ensure comfort and understanding.
• Document and notify management of any malfunctions of equipment. The Ideal Candidate is someone who : - Currently is a Registered Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.

T.(R) (ARRT). - Currently has a Basic Life Support certificate. - Demonstrates effective communication skills. - Has knowledge of human anatomy.

Prepares and positions patients prior to procedures to ensure their safety and to obtain desired reports for diagnostic purposes.

Calculates and selects appropriate equipment and technical factors such as proper type of film and amount of kilovolts or milliamperes.

Follows radiation protection procedures.Maintains working condition of all equipment and reports any malfunctions or needs for adjustments to appropriate personnel.

Assists in maintaining sanitary condition of radiology structs various hospital staff about techniques and procedures relating to radiology as requested, including Radiation Safety.

Stays abreast of current developments in field by reviewing available literature and attending appropriate programs.Continually works to anticipate and exceed the needs and expectations of customers.

Properly evaluates requisitions including identifying patient and procedure to be performed. Documents and notates each plies with all Radiology information system entry requirements for accurate patient, film, supply, tracking monitors.

Assists and supports the Radiologic student program, specifically the clinical aspect. Provides supervision and feedback to students as they perform procedures.

Reviews images with students on request and provides quarterly evaluations of students to clinical instructions for formal reviews.

Other duties as assigned.Follows Hospital and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and pletes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department-specific competencies and requirements.

Education : Completion of Radiologic Technology programs from approved school.Certifications : Registered Radiographer (R) with American Registry of Radiology Technologists.

Current Radiology state license.BLS - Basic Life Support from American Heart plexity of Work : Maintains competencies specific to patient population served.

Work Experience : Experience preferred.Physical Requirements : Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.Personal Protective Equipment : Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
