Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor anesthesia, including intubation and catheter placement.
- Identify and address anesthesia complications in patients.
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing of canine and feline teeth.
- Obtain high-quality dental radiographs.
- Assist in dental procedures and surgeries.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Uphold a high standard of cleanliness and organization in the dental suite.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in veterinary anesthesia, including dentistry and general anesthesia.
- Proven ability to intubate, place catheters, identify complications, and implement corrective measures.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary dental department.
- Proficient in scaling and polishing canine and feline teeth, and obtaining quality dental radiographs.
- Experience in single root extraction and suturing a plus, but not required
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and efficient dental department and hospital environment.
$30 - $40 an hourcompensation is based on skills, experience and credentialing.
