Job Summary / Company :
Sparks Group has partnered with an established financial services organization to identify a Distributed Systems Engineer.
As the Distributed Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, support, and maintenance of storage infrastructure.
Responsibilities :
- Third Level production support for all server environments
- Server Contingency Testing
- Comply with Change Control standards and Security and Risk controls
- Test and automate deployment of upgrades - hardware, O / S, drivers, firmware, patches, etc.
Qualifications / Background Profile :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- 10 years of experience in a distributed Windows and RHEL Server environment
- Experience with managing and maintaining enterprise-class storage
- Extensive experience with VMWare virtualization technologies
- Experience with Dell backup technologies
- Experience with Managing Windows components (Active Directory, GPO, Microsoft clustering)
- Experience installing, administering, and troubleshooting software and hardware in large, mission-critical, 24x7 production environments
