DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives, and parameters found in the Board’s strategic plan.
- Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
- Serves as the primary point of contact in supporting student attendance.
- Utilizes a data based approach to initiate early identification of students who do not meet attendance expectations.
- Work with building staff to ensure attendance codes are implemented in accordance with district guidelines.
- Arranges individual or group problem solving sessions related to successful class attendance.
- Responsible for parent outreach in accordance with established building attendance processes.
- Responsible for referring students with attendance concerns to the building based attendance problem solving team.
- Participates in building level attendance problem solving teams.
QUALIFICATIONS : High School Diploma or GED required, additional post secondary hours preferred, 3-5 years of experience working with children preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

- Ability to organize data and information in order to make recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of outside agencies for family resources.
- Ability to work in an urban school environment.
- Ability to navigate different computer software programs that include but are not limited to : Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and PowerSchool platform.
WORK CALENDAR : 10 Months
WORKING CONDITIONS : Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
