Surgical Services Manager
San Ramon, CA
Full-time position with day shift
Pay range : $83.36 - $133.37 / hr + full benefits + bonus + paid relocation
As the Surgical Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the clinical and non-clinical activities of various departments and services within the Perioperative Services division.
This includes managing departments such as Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Outpatient Surgery, GI Lab, Sterile Processing, Cath Lab, Ambulatory Surgery Center, and Donor Network.
Your role will involve providing managerial direction, ensuring accountability, and developing staff in order to achieve departmental goals and support the hospital's mission.
You will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Education :
- Must possess an academic degree in nursing
- Preferred : Bachelor's or Master's degree
Minimum Experience / Skills :
Minimum of 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse / related position
Licenses / Certificates / Credentials :
- Current CA Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA certified)
- Certification in perioperative field strongly preferred
Responsibilities :
- Maintain an active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence / practice
- Demonstrate highly effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Exhibit proven leadership ability and hospital operational expertise
- Serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing
Qualifications :
- Required : Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field or a BSN
- Required : Minimum of 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse / related position
- Preferred : MSN or master's in a healthcare related field
