DescriptionAssociate Coder- St. Joseph Health System Home Care ServiceSchedule : Full Time / DaysMust live in within 2 hours of Portland, Oregon or 2 hours from Irvine, California, remote positionScope of work includes reviewing and coding diagnoses in the electronic medical record (EMR) using ICD-10 coding principles.

Ensures diagnosis codes meet optimum specificity standards, are sequenced in a manner that supports the care provided to the patient, and conforms to coding conventions and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) and other regulatory requirements.

Completes this work in a manner that supports Health Information Management data integrity standards.Working in Home Health provides the unique opportunity to care for your patients where they are most comfortable.

Preferred Qualifications : Coursework / Training Anatomy / Physiology and Medical Terminology.upon hire : AAPC or AHIMA coding-related credential.
