Material Handler

Production Worker Job Summary :
- Starting at 16.00 per hour
- Shifts : 1st and 2nd
- This job is in a fast-paced production and manufacturing environment and will require you to be physically active as a production worker.
- moving materials supplies and finished goods through the facility which includes unloading frozen food product from semis into warehouse freezers and loading frozen food from warehouse freezers into delivery trucks.
- May require the use of material handling equipment such as carts conveyer belts and pallet jacks. Stacks skids or pallets in designated areas.
- Uses tools such as hammers and crowbars to remove strapping open crates strap cars.
- Other duties as assigned (such as general maintenance work around the facility and processing of load sheets).
- Stand and walk on concrete for long periods of time
- Work in cold and / or hot temperatures throughout the day
- Operate machines safely with minimal supervision
Production Worker Qualifications :
- Responsible for the operation of manufacturing equipment with simple functions
- Setting up and pre-running equipment to ensure proper production startup
- Completing various quality checks
- The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including but not limited to bump cap, safety glasses / goggles, face shield, face mask, ear plugs, hair and beard nets, gloves and safety shoes or rubber boots
- Completing all required paperwork (for example : downtime, HACCP, etc., utilizing SAP, SOPs, Safety operation, training, as appropriate)
- Conducting yourself in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct
