Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year institution
- Proficiency in standard cost accounting
- Extensive experience in manufacturing
- At least five years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with Sage software is a plus
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the establishment of standard costs for new parts and review and analyze standard costs for existing parts
- Provide cost support to various cross-functional teams as needed
- Supply product cost information for month-end financial closing
- Analyze the purchase price variance general ledger account
- Audit cycle count activities, including item selection, recount decisions, discrepancy research, and reporting on root causes and progress towards improving quantity and physical accuracy
- Prepare, review, and distribute daily absorption reports, comparing them with forecasts
- Manage inventory and related work order systems, including reconciliations from physical to perpetual to general ledger, journal entries, audit explanations, and standard costs
- Oversee periodic requirements of manufacturing systems to ensure timely and accurate standards and gross margins, providing meaningful analysis of results
- Manage the preparation and execution of the annual standard cost roll
