Our Medical Assistant- Mohs will be responsible for assisting the clinic staff in front office and back-office settings. They will also assist with Mohs surgeries.
They are to provide safe, knowledgeable, professional care to all patients under the direction of provider and / or nurse and within their scope of practice.
Schedule :
- 3 Mohs surgical days and 1 Mohs Admin day
- Monday through Friday, no weekends
- Floats between our 3 offices (Phoenix, Mesa, Ahwatukee)
What You'll do :
- Room patients and assist provider as needed.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient exams and procedures, always keeping room neat and clean
- Daily, weekly, and monthly exam room cleaning, inventorying, and equipment checks.
- Assist with scanning paperwork and uploading pictures into the EMR, scribing for provider.
- Record new patients’ medical history, medications, allergies, and pertinent information in the EMR
- Reinforce doctors’ instructions regarding procedures and results
- Respond to patient and non-patient inquiries as necessary under provider direction
- Assist in scheduling appointments and patient check out
- Front office back-up greeting patients and collecting copays as necessary
Skills and Experience :
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ working as an MA with MOHS experience is required
- Certified as a Medical Assistant required
