Position : Hospice Travel RN
Location : Memphis, Tennessee
Schedule : Day (5x8 Hours) 8 : 00 16 : 30
Unit : Hospice Care
What You'll Do :
As a Hospice Care Registered Nurse (RN), your primary focus is to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals who are nearing the end of life.
You will ensure that patients experience comfort, dignity, and peace during their final stages.
Resp onsibilities :
- Patient Assessment : Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs to develop individualized care plans.
- Symptom Management : Provide expert care in managing symptoms related to terminal illnesses, including pain management, nausea, and respiratory distress.
- Care Coordination : Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, social workers, and spiritual care providers, to ensure holistic care for patients and their families.
- Patient and Family Education : Educate patients and their families about the hospice care process, what to expect, and how to manage symptoms at home.
- Emotional Support : Offer compassionate support to patients and their families, addressing their emotional and psychological needs during end-of-life care.
- Medication Administration : Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosing and adherence to hospice protocols.
- Documentation : Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and responses to treatments.
- Crisis Intervention : Respond promptly to emergencies, providing crisis intervention and stabilizing patients as needed.
- Compliance : Ensure all care provided meets regulatory standards and follows hospice care best practices.
- Continuing Education : Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in hospice care and palliative medicine.
Requirements :
- RN license in State of Assignment or compact license
- 2 years of experience as a traveler 3 years with no travel
- Must live 100 miles from Facility
- Covid Vaccine
- Flu Vaccine
