Shift / Hours : Monday - Friday, 11 : 00 a.m. - 19 : 30 . (8-hour shifts scheduled within these hours); 8.5 hours per day (30-minute lunch break);
10-hour shifts during holiday weeks

Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiation Therapist to join our team at James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating Varian TrueBeam linacs and Aria version 15, with preference given to those with knowledge of Vision RT or OSMS.
This position requires expertise in TrueBeam and Aria, with VisionRT experience being a plus but not mandatory. The selected candidate will work with patients across various age groups, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Responsibilities :
- Operate Varian TrueBeam linacs and Aria version 15 with precision and efficiency.
- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients according to established protocols.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout treatment sessions.
- Document patient treatment plans and progress accurately and efficiently using designated documentation systems, including Teletracking, Cerner, McKesson, and MediTech.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety protocols in radiation therapy practice.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives as required.
Requirements :
- Certified Radiation Therapist with ARRT in Radiation Therapy Technology.
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Ohio state licensure.
- Proficiency in TrueBeam and Aria systems.
- Experience with Varian TrueBeam linacs and Aria version 15 is essential.
- Familiarity with Vision RT or OSMS is preferred.
- Experience working with various age groups and in different work settings, including adult outpatient, adult inpatient, PEDS outpatient, and PEDS inpatient.
- Competency in CBCT / kV / mV imaging, crash cart management, defibrillator operation, handling emergency cases, and chart checking.
- Specialized treatment experience in electron field, stereotactic radiosurgery, craniospinal, heterotopic bone, benign brain tumors, and DIBH.
- Knowledge of specialty cancers / illnesses such as pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer with seeds / fiducials, pediatric cancer, H&N, and CNS.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
