We're looking for carpenters to join our team in this role you will be working to remodel, kitchens, baths, and other renovations.
AAA General Contracting is a full Interior / Exterior Remodeling and New Build Construction Company. The main focus of our business are kitchen, bathroom, and basement remodels but we do everything from the ground up including electrical and plumbing.
Need your own tools, and vehicle, and to be a reliable person
Handyman Duties and Responsibilities
- Update drywall and paint as needed
- Perform installation of tile or flooring installation
- Complete trim carpentry or exterior siding
- Perform basic electrical and plumbing maintenance and installation
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to understand project specifications
- Take measurements and calculate the sizes and amounts of materials needed for the project
- Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements
- Build window frames, doors, staircases, brattices, frame buildings, and other structures by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
- Install hardwood floors, siding, cabinets, drywall, and insulation
- Inspect products and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed
- Comply with all company and governmental safety guidelines
Handyman Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
- Must have own tools
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
- Reliable transportation
- Flexible schedule
- Mechanical aptitude
- 2+ years of experience working as a a carpenter, in residential construction, or related experience.
- Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction
- Proficient in using electrical and hand tools as well as measurement tools
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity
