About the Role :

Circular Services is hiring a full-time Senior Accountant to join our fast-growing, mission-driven team. In this hands-on role, you’ll take ownership of the company’s day-to-day financial operations — from reporting and analysis to process improvement — while supporting strategic growth initiatives. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and is excited to make an impact in the circular economy. This position reports directly to the VP of Accounting within our Corporate & Growth division. This position is hybrid on site 3 days a week in Southington CT.

Responsibilities :

• Financial Reporting & Oversight : Lead the preparation, review, and accuracy of company financial statements, ensuring timely, high-quality reporting. Provide actionable insights and guidance to leadership while managing accounting staff to strengthen performance and efficiency.
• Process Improvement & Systems Optimization : Evaluate and streamline workflows across billing, A / R, and A / P, implementing automation and software solutions to enhance accuracy, scalability, and overall process effectiveness.
• Team Leadership : Manage and mentor accounting, A / R, A / P, and payroll teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and professional growth while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Cash Flow Management : Monitor, analyze, and forecast cash flow to support daily operations, capital projects, and long-term financial planning.
• Banking Oversight : Oversee banking relationships, review transactions, and ensure compliance with loan covenants and treasury requirements.
• Audit & Compliance : Coordinate annual audit activities and maintain strict adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory standards.
