Registered Nurse- Occupational Health- Part Time

GENERAL SUMMARY :

This position is an onsite school nurse with David Ellis Academy.

Maintain an autonomous nursing practice focused on the promotion, protection and restoration of employees health utilizing the standard AAOHN domains of occupational health nursing within the context of a safe and healthy manufacturing and non-manufacturing environment as well as following the nursing practice standards of the State of Michigan.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

Minimum Work Experience : 12 months of accumulated experience within the last 5 years; new graduate; in lieu of 12 months of accumulated experience, a new graduate will be eligible for employment after completion of 1200 verified hours of employment within the last 12 months or the standard practice within the RN community.

Required : RN diploma / degree from accredited School of Nursing; Valid RN license in the appropriate state; Current BCLS certification.

Preferred : Bachelor of Science in Nursing; ABOHN certification, COHN, COHN-S, COHN-S / CM, etc.; CAOHC Audiometric certification;

Respiratory Fit certification; Breath Alcohol certification (BAT); Continuing Education Credits. Experience in occupational healthcare
