About The Position

Job Summary (List Format) :

  • Facility : Level III Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Magnet Designation, Comprehensive Stroke Center
  • Location : Milwaukee, WI
  • Bed Count : 933 beds
  • COVID Vaccine : Required
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year required
  • First-Time Travelers : Considered upon review
  • Patient Population : Mostly geriatrics and adults, some pediatric patients in the ED
  • Patient Ratio : 1 : 1
  • Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, CRT or RRT
  • Required Skills : Vent management, CPAP, BiPAP, Nebulizer treatments, A-line placement, Intubation, Vent weaning, Extubation, ABGs
  • Ventilator Experience : AVEA, Servo U, LPU 1200, parapack vents for MRI, Hamilton vents for transport
  • Charting System : EPIC
  • Medication System : Pyxis
  • Floating : May float to all units within the hospital
  • Orientation : Minimum of one shift to learn unit flow
  • Scheduling :
  • Weekend rotation : Every other weekend (default)
  • Time off : Up to 7 days (default)
  • On Call : Varies (default)
  • Holiday expectations : Not specified, varies (default)
  • Fatigue Policy : Cannot work more than 60 hours / week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts
