Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 special education teaching opportunity is available for the current school year in Ypsilanti, MI. This contract position is designed for dedicated educators passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs across all grade levels.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to promote inclusive learning environments
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to ply with educational regulations
  • Foster a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth

Qualifications :

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with K-12 students with disabilities
  • Strong understanding of state and federal special education laws and best practices
  • Excellent munication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt lessons and materials to meet diverse learning styles and challenges
