RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Occupational Therapist (a Culturally Specific Mental Health Provider, QMHP) works as a member of a multi-disciplinary Esperanza team that provides mental health programming to Latine, indigenous, and immigrant participants of Adelante Mujeres programs.

This position works with and reports to the Occupational Therapy Manager of Esperanza.

  • Creates curriculum, facilitates groups, and collaborates with various Adelante teams to provide social and mental wellness programming on a population-based level.
  • Provides culturally specific mental health services for our clinic-based program : Assessment, treatment planning, individual and family therapy, in collaboration with participants.
  • Prioritizes health, wellness, and recovery needs, writing measurable service objectives, creating, monitoring, and revising service plans.
  • Creates suicide risk assessments and interventions, creating and monitoring safety plans, in collaboration with participants.
  • Use culturally sensitive lenses to guide all aspects of service delivery, ensuring that the impact of socio-political & cultural factors is consistently considered.

  • Must meet QMHP requirements under State of Oregon OARS and OTLB licensure
  • Master's or Doctoral level degree in occupational therapy.
  • Bilingual Spanish / English required.
  • Committed to education, social justice, women's empowerment and the environment.

Additional Requirements :

  • COVID-19 vaccine and booster required except for religious or medical accommodation.
  • Complete Criminal Background Registry enrollment letter for facility number CC503161
  • Possess current driver's license and auto insurance coverage.
  • Ability to travel between work site locations and out of town to attend workshops or training.
  • Will have occasional evening and weekend work.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with a wide range of people, including excellent verbal and written communication.

SALARY & BENEFITS :

  • Salary range : $65K-$67K depending on qualifications.
  • $3K hire bonus payable after 6 months of work.
  • Classification Full-time Salary
  • Telework : up to 2 days a week
