Dallas, TX hybrid, 4 days onsite

One of Vaco’s publicly-traded, global manufacturing clients is looking to onboard a Payroll Specialist to serve as the right hand person to the current Payroll Manager.

This will support the payroll processing for the largest business segment of the company and be responsible for 700+ employees across 26 different states.

Company offers : stock option program, 401k discretionary funding program (in addition to regular 401k), industry-leading benefits, and close-knit culture (employee engagement events, cornhole tournaments, etc.)

Key Responsibilities :

• Process bi-weekly / monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
• Verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies in timesheets.
• Calculate and process wage garnishments, deductions, and benefits contributions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports and summaries as required by management.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and provide support as needed.
• Assist with the year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and filing.
• Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate data management.
• Continuously seek ways to improve payroll processes and efficiency.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
• Familiarity with federal and state payroll regulations.

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
