Job Description :

HDG is seeking an enthusiastic software engineer to provide software development and sustainment of C++ applications for the Department of Defense (DoD).

Day-to-day efforts include working with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to support mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with the tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions.

This is a full-time position based in San Diego, under our Software Solutions group.

Required qualifications :

• Currently hold an active SECRET clearance or be able to obtain one
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics
• 2-5 years of demonstrated full-stack software development experience with :
• Object-oriented programming (e.g., C++, Java, JavaScript, Python)
• RDBMS database design (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, MySQL)
• Source Code Management (e.g., Git)
• Experience with Agile software development
• Experience with enterprise software and microservices architectures

Desired qualifications :

• Software engineering experience with :
• Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and web services (i.e., REST, AJAX, JSON)
• CI / CD automation tools (i.e., Jenkins, Tekton)
• Automated testing (i.e., Selenium, Cypress)
• Static Application Security Testing (i.e., SonarQube, Coverity)
• CompTIA Security+ Certification

Salary :

Salary at Highbury Defense is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000-120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Highbury Defense’s total compensation package for employees.
